Sterlab is participating to BIORICE Project, an european partnership on the development of new ingredients derived from starch of rice.

Isolated peptides will be tested to characterize the safety of these new bioactive ingredients, for an application in the food, nutraceutical and cosmetics sector.

• Reconstructed human tissue models

Sterlab’s proprietary tissue reconstruction techniques are based on the principles of air -liquid interface cell culture using chemically defined culture media, resulting in 3D human tissues models mounted in plastic inserts allowing topical and systemic applications for research, efficacy and toxicity testing purposes.

• Cell banking of human primary cells

Sterlab also commercialises primary cells from variuos human tissues, using an innovative isolation and cryoconservation process.
With our expertise in this field, we can advise you to perform and interpret your toxicological studies.

• Tissue insert types

Sterlab proposes a wide range of  inserts that can be used for cell and tissue culture production : standard culture inserts, hanging or plate, 24 or 96-well HTS... Other inserts can be provided on demand.

Our activities and services

Sterlab has created a state-of-the art cell culture laboratory providing “customized” cellular engineering services including the production of monolayer cultures as well as3D tissue models using primary cells or immortalized cell lines.
This ‘customized’ approach is unique in its kind allowing clients to order cell and tissue models ‘on demand’, in accordance with their specific needs.
In addition to its cell and tissue culture model production, Sterlab also offers microbiological, toxicological and histological services.

Our infrastructure

Sterlab's ISO 9001 (2015 version) facility has a 400 m2 clean room entirely dedicated to cell culture and tissue engineering.

Daily checking of aeraulitic room settings and a search of germs bimonthly can effectively control the atmosphere and working environment.

Cell culture and tissue development is done by qualified staff with more 10 years of expertise in 3D tissue reconstruction.
